AMSTERDAM TOUR&CARD THE JORDAAN

€ 3,95

The Jordaan was built up in the 17th century as a district for the working class. It’s now a popular and lively area full of picturesque little streets with art galleries, restaurants and shops. Before heading into the Jordaan, you pass through Haarlemmerstraat and Haarlemmerdijk, an old sea dyke full of nice stores. Brouwersgracht was the location where all the other canals were built. Its big warehouses show you where the wealth of Amsterdam comes from. And last but not least, you’ll discover a piece of Amsterdam from the 15th century…

The walking tour takes up to 2 hours, the biking tour up to 1 hour. Both start and end at the junction of the Singel and Droogbak.

The card is available in Dutch and English. On the card there is space to write and an envelope is attached. You can send the card as a gift or inspire others with the highlights of your tour. If you order the stamp service we'll make sure the envelop has a stamp for sending the card to a Dutch address or abroad.

FOLDABLE UMBRELLA IMPERIAL CROWN

€ 20,00 € 15,00

Rain is rain and never fun. But the umbrella with the Imperial Crown from Amsterdam will improve your mood instantly and that's a promise. You'd even wish it wouldn't stop raining and keep it open forever. The good thing is that with its compact size it fits easily in any bag or backpack. And if - or should we say when :-) - it starts raining again the umbrella opens by a press on a button.

More than 500 years ago the Austrian Emperor Maximilian I granted the Imperial Crown to Amsterdam for her loyalty and financial support to him. This crown was one of the first quality marks in the world and gave Amsterdam a very reliable image. That was good for business and provided the base for the city's growth. It's therefore not strange that you'll find this crown on many different spots in Amsterdam. Even on top of the lampposts!
